As promised (can you believe it???), here are the two samples that we created at Monday's Blendabilities Class. I have to say, the bright pink of Melon Mambo was a lot of fun to work with. I think the winter is starting to get to me and I am itching for spring!!
So if you haven't attended one of my Blendabilities Classes, here is what we do. We always make 2 projects - usually cards, because everyone can always use them, right? One of the card focuses primarily on coloring and practicing the blending techniques, so we can all become experts! :) The second sample usually is a fun or different way to use the markers.
This was the first sample. I pulled out my all-time favorite stamp set, Fifth Avenue Floral and used the rose to color and blend. I think Stampin' Up! should bring this set back just because we have the Blendabilities now!!!
For the second sample, we colored on a black & white photo - something you can do to give a wash of color or to pop a focal point on a photo. These could also work for sepia toned photos and even color photos to enhance or slightly change something in the picture. (On a color photo your results will be much more subtle.)
We still have 3 classes left in this session of Blendabilties AND I will be teaching a class at the NJCW Spring Crop Weekend, so if you'd like to get in on the action, here are the links to do so.
