The post I originally created has disappeared way down the list, and I wanted to add some more information as well as repost the initial info for anyone who is looking for it.  If there are products in retiring colors that you would like, I strongly recommend that you order them ASAP.  Originally Stampin' Up! thought they could guarantee them through the end of May, but that is no longer the case.  Items are only available while supplies last.  To place an order for any products, use my online store.

Q: Are other card stocks outside the four color collections retiring?

A: We will continue to offer the following: Brushed Gold, Brushed Silver, Confetti Cream, Confetti White, Glossy White, Naturals Ivory, Naturals White, Shimmery White, and White vellum card stock, as well as White vellum paper.

Q: What are the new core colors, and what are the In Colors that are returning as core colors?

A: The five new colors are called Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Cajun Craze, and Cherry Cobbler. The ten returning In Colors as core colors are Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, Rich Razzleberry, Wild Wasabi, Pink Pirouette, and Baja Breeze. Also, we’ve renamed Kraft to Crumb Cake, and it is a core color in the Neutrals collection. You’ll want to check out the color chart PDFs, as well as Stampin’ Success, to see these colors displayed in their new collections!

Q: Will I have to purchase all new Stampin’ Write markers, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, Stampin’ Pastels, and a new Color Caddy?

A: No. We are offering color kits, including Card Stock and Classic Pad, Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, and Stampin’ Pastels New Color Kits, to help you make the transition.  There will not be a new Color Caddy; however the existing Color Caddy will hold all of the 40 core color Stampin’ Pads and up to 8 additional Stampin’ Pads. (After this year, you can still fit all of the In Colors with the extender kit.)

A Stampin' Up! Color Renovation

Yes, the rumors are true!!  Stampin' Up! is going through a Color Renovation and I couldn't be happier!!!  Sadly, there are colors that will be retiring at the end of June, but there are a few new colors coming out, and (even better) some of the great in-colors from the past are back for good!!!   To get a good look at the new color line, click on the image below.

If you don't see some of your favorite colors above, they will be retiring on June 30.  Your best bet is to order them now!!  All retiring colors are guaranteed to be in stock through May 31, and after that they will be available only while supplies last.  Especially keep in mind cardstock, refills, ribbon, and markers!!

Spring-Summer Catalog and a Sneak Peek Sample!

The Spring-Summer 2009 Catalog is here and of course it is fabulous!!!  I have already placed a big order for some fun new stuff and I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!  I am so impatient that I paid for expedited shipping so I will have lots of things for my New Catalog Open House this Saturday!!  I have a make & take planned, Big Shot demos, and will have lots of things to look at up close.  If you are in the Randolph, NJ area and want to check out the catalog, send me an email or please stop by!!

So, here is a sneak peek sample from a brand new stamp set, Simple Friendship.  This is the stamp set I received at the Founder's Circle Trip back in September and I can't wait to use it.  So why wait?  This sample will be one we will make in my next Technique Tuesday Class at the end of this month.  It uses the baby-wipe technique - an oldie but goodie!!! 

I'm also going to begin teaching a rubber stamping class to first & second graders at my daughter's school tomorrow, and we are also going to do the baby wipe technique.  I think the kids are really going to love it (and I hope the adults do too!!)

Here is the first sample I created with this set.  I didn't use the Fresh-Cut Notes - I was trying to think outside the box.  Supplies used were Fresh Cut stamp set; Basic Gray (I love this color) classic ink; Tempting Turquoise Craft Ink & Stampin' Write marker; Whisper White & Basic Gray (did I mention I love this color?) cardstock; and White Taffeta ribbon.  On the right is an up-close photo of the ribbon, which I stamped with Tempting Turquoise Craft Ink, a little tip I learned from my friend Cindy Lawrence.

 

Retiring Stamp Set Contest Winner

Congratulations to Michelle Rosiek!!!  Michelle correctly guessed 7 stamp sets that were about to retire and has won my Retiring Stamp Sets Contest!!!  There was actually a 2-way tie for first place.  Becca Aitken also had 7 correct guesses, but Michelle's name was drawn out of a hat for the final winner.
