Friday night I went out with some friends and we got on the topic of school starting. A few of us (me included) are going to have all our kids in school full time this year for the first time ever. That means some of my formerly "stay-at-home-mom" friends would like to get a job!
For me, I don't have to think twice about what I would want to do. I've already had the corporate job - 11 years of it. Eleven years of lower Manhattan and 2 hour (each way) commutes, subways, trains, elevators, meetings, business suits, corporate lunches, corporate ladders, and corporate (pardon my French) BS!! I can't go back. No one should have to. No one needs to.
My solution? Stampin' Up!
Becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator has allowed me to be a stay-at-home-mom while my kids were nursing, learning to walk, learning to talk, going off to preschool, and through kindergarten. I never missed a drop-off or pick-up, a first step, or a new word. Now that they will be in school, guess what? I still won't ever have to miss an assembly, I can still be there for drop-off & pick-up (we are walkers), I can be there in 5 minutes if they are sick, and/or if they forget their lunch.
For those of you in a similar situation, if you are a fan of rubber stamping , scrapbooking, and/or paper crafting and are looking to "get a job", become a Demonstrator!!!! Anyone & everyone can do this!! All you need is the desire and the commitment to "go back to work". Your earning potential is UP TO YOU!! What other "part time" job allows you the flexibility of time AND money??
