Spring Snow???

Another quick post - sorry!!!  Here are a few pictures of today's snow day activities.

A Visit to the Fair!!

Anyone & everyone who lives in or near Sussex County know that means you are going to the Sussex County Farm & Horse Show, which is now also known as the New Jersey State Fair.

So today, I took the girls up for our annual visit, which is a tradition that dates back to when I was a kid.  Back then my mom, aunt(s), and grandma would take me, my sisters, and our cousins to the fair.  We rode the rides, ate, had fresh squeezed lemonade, and finished it off with waffles & ice cream.  So this year, we did the same, except I swapped my waffles & ice cream for a dish of ice cream with sprinkles.

In addition to running into the Queen of the Fair, who is from my town this year (go Sandyston!!), here are a few more highlights:

And here is one of my most favorite parts of the fair this year.  This is Erin & Emily making a quilt square for the Quilts of Valor Project.  These squares will be made into a quilt and given to an injured solider.  These photos you will see on a scrapbook page very soon.  I already have the page in my mind.

Final (I think) Update on Ellie's Card-A-Thon

On this Easter weekend, I thought I give you a final update on how we did with Ellie's Card-A-Thon back in January.  In total, we had:

• 36 people (moms, dads, & kids!!) actually attend the card-a-thon
• those 36 people made 132 cards
• 16 more people placed orders for 183 more cards
• we also received an additional $774 in donations

So thanks to your amazing support, we were able donate a little over $1,000 to Ellie's parents!!  I am happy to continue to take card orders through the rest of this year and will continue to donate $1/card.  As of right now, all card orders have been filled (with the last ones being shipped out Thursday).  Thank you again for your help; have a wonderful Easter.

Christmas Pictures 2007

As you may remember from last year or from years past, we always take pictures of the girls in front of our Christmas tree & include those photos in our cards to our family & friends.  This past Saturday was the lucky day, and I have to say it is getting MUCH easier to take pictures of them.  Four years ago Erin was just 5 weeks old, and it was tricky to get Emily to smile & Erin's face to be showing at the same time.  Here are a few of my favorites that we came up with this year.

We got some wallets of this shot.  I wish Emily's face wasn't so hidden, but it's still cute- and I LOVE how you can see the gap in Emily's teeth. :) 

I cropped this one a little bit and got 5x7s of this for all the grandparents & great grandparents.

And here is one of their typical poses.  Now that these are done, that's one more thing checked off the list - and more pictures to scrapbook in February when I go away for the weekend!!

What NOT to do with your Embellishments

Rule number 1 - Don't let your 3-year old play with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here you see the contents of about 30 Stampin' Up! embellishment containers - all over the floor.  Brads, eyelets, hardware, buttons -  you name it - it's all there!!!  This is what happens when your husband makes dinner while you are on the phone - for 10 whole minutes.  My husband removed the culprit from the scene right before I took the picture.  (What else could I do at that point but take some pictures???)

If anyone needs me, this is where I'll be for the next 4 days!!!  Anyone want to come over & help???

Catching up

I'm back from a FABULOUS trip.  I never thought much about the Pamana Canal, but oh my God - how amazing!!!!

I'm still trying to catch up on everything, but I thought I'd at least let you know I am back and to expect some pictures & more details later this week!!!!

Setting Sail...

In just 12 hours, I will be on the ms Zuiderdam setting sail from Ft. Lauderdale on the 2007 Stampin' Up! Panama Canal Cruise!!!  So, I won't be posting anything this week (including a Sunday Sample).  If you aren't on my mailing list, now would be a GREAT  time to sign up!!  As in years past, there will be  a CRUISE SPECIAL for my mailing list customers only!!!
