Here are the two masculine birthday cards from my Birthday Card Class earlier this week.
Perfect too for the upcoming Super Bowl!! (Oh, and I really don't mean to be discriminatory - MOST of my girlfriends would LOVE to get a beer card!!!)
And here is a western style birthday card.
Masculine cards can be hard, but always keep in mind some generic things (like horses or beer), can work for men as well as women!!
They are predicting a snow storm for here tomorrow (actually it should be starting sometime tonight). We are somewhere between the 1-3" & 3-6" bands. Although, we live right on the top of a hill and that could mean we might get 8-10". The other night they were predicting a coating to 1" for our area and we got 3". I'm hoping for more snow rather than less. What could be better than being stranded in the house on a Saturday and having all your obligations postponed because of the weather? I could use a found day to catch up on some stamping & maybe I can even sneak in some scrapbooking this weekend. One can dream...

It's getting late, I'm getting tired, and I still have work left to do and all of a sudden it occurred to me - I haven't posted anything yet today!! So, here is a real quick sample. We did this card at my Birthday Card Class last night. It was a great class - full of lots of my favorite people!!! It was so great to see you all last night!!!
I hope those of you who attended had a great time and for those of you who didn't - let me know if you are still interested. I have had about 4 people express an interest in coming, the date just didn't work for them, so I may try to put another date for this same class on the calendar for later this month.
I think it's about time for a 10 Card Class - what do you think??
Actually last fall, my friend Jean asked me if I would plan a birthday card class, geared toward adults and I thought it was a fabulous idea! So, it is in the works and planned for Wednesday, February 3 at 7:00PM at my house.
Tomorrow night, I'm taking the class on the road to my friend Mandi's house.
This is almost one of the cards we are going to make. If you are a newsletter subscriber (and if you are not, you should be! See below to subscribe.), you saw the video on how to create this card. For the class, I'm going to tweak it a little bit, but I'll keep that under wraps til later on (that would be later on until after I make it!!)
If you are looking for a great rubber stamping card class in northern New Jersey, pencil in Wednesday, February 3. Email me to let me know you'd like to come!! Or better yet, use the PayPal link below to pre-pay for your spot. (When you prepay you receive free envelopes!!)
Tomorrow night will be the first session of my Holiday Card Class. If you are local to me (northern New Jersey), be sure to check out the selections for this year's Make your Own Holiday Cards at the album to the right. All you need to do is let me know which card (or cards) you'd like to create, and I'll cut & prep everything for you. You just come, stamp, and assemble!!! In one night's "work" you can have all your cards handmade!!!
One of the most popular cards so far this year is the one posted here. If you'd like to join me, please email me and let me know which cards you'd like to make. Check my schedule for future dates & times.
For more information on this class, you can check out this post.

Each person will make 2 of each card pictured above!!! Reserve your spot with the PayPal link below!!
During our Scrapbooking Weekend, I taught one class where we created this shadow box frame. It uses the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterflies die and also the Decor Elements "Inspiration." Everyone loved the project, and it was fun to teach - it uses lots of different stuff.
I'm thinking of doing another session of this class at my house - what do you think? Everyone thought it would make a great gift.
I'm hoping to take some pictures tonight of the FOURTEEN pages I completed over the weekend so I can share those with you too. (wooohooo!)
I'm already looking forward to our Fall Crop Weekend. Click here if you need details on that!!
My very popular Technique Tuesday class is coming up this Tuesday!! If you are in the northern New Jersey area and would like to learn a little more about rubber stamping, join us to create a diorama card, a "quilted" card, and a mystery 3D item!!!! Please let me know if you want to join us!!!
This past Thursday was my New Catalog Open House and we had so much fun!!! We stamped, we laughed, we shopped, and I took some pictures!!!
Here is the make & take table:
At another table everyone made a bookmark with all the in-colors:
And I even made everyone take a test!!! But don't worry - it was open book AND they got a prize for taking it!!
Here was a table of some of the new products:
And of course there were samples (and even FOOD)!!
Lots of people also signed up for Stamping Clubs, too. If you are in the northern New Jersey area, this is a great way to get out once a month and purchase a few stamping things a little at a time. I am starting two new clubs this month, and will always be starting new ones, so if you might be interested, check out the info here and email me to let me know you'd like to join!
Last night was my annual "Retirement Party" and we had so much fun!!! It's a FREE class that I do every year when the catalog is about to end. Last night there were two projects to create, I gave away lots of retired card samples, and I also gave away lots of free stuff when orders were placed!!! It was a great night out for everyone who came!!
Here is one of the projects from last night using the Zoofari stamp set. I'm really going to miss this set. It's definitely one I will not part with. I've made great scrapbook pages from the zoo with it and you can't beat it for a little boy's birthday card!!!
The other project was another card and we used Doodle This - another stamp set I will miss. And another one I used a lot for scrapbooking!!! And those embroidered embellishments (Accents & Elements Fleurettes) are awesome!! They are also retiring at the end of this month and they are 50% off (while supplies last). I personally bought another pack to have on hand for future scrapbook pages.
If you want to get the details of my upcoming events (there are several free ones throughout the year), please be sure to sign up for my mailing list!!!
