One of the card requests I got when doing Ellie's Card-A-Thon was for Groundhog's Day cards!! It was a little bit of a challenge, but wouldn't you know it - Stampin' Up! has a stamp with a groundhog. It is a little on the small side, so part of the trick was trying to use it so it filled up the whole card, and the other part was to try to take a tiny realistic image and make a funny (or at least light-hearted) card. So, anyway, here is what I came up with:
All supplies are Stampin' Up! I used the Wildlife Reserve & Lovely as a Tree stamp sets, Old Olive, Whisper White, and Chocolate Chip cardstock, Old Olive & Chocolate Chip ink, Watercolor Pencils & Blender Pens, and the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" square punches. I liked it and thought it was as good as I could do with the stamps I had on hand - who knew I had a groundhog in my collection???
So, hopefully Punxsutawney Phil will not see his shadow tomorrow. I am all for an early spring!! Happy Groundhog's Day everyone - hope you enjoyed the card!!
